Lovely location and garden , there is also a nature reserve attached to the inn. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. We had a lovely stay.

The room was cosy and comfortable and had a great selection of teas and coffees We ate dinner that evening and it was delicious, and reasonably priced Great choices for breakfast and we were unable to finish the full English there was so much if it !

Quiet and peaceful and staff were very attentive. There is even a 9 hole golf course in the village. We loved the decor and ambience which managed to capture the feel of a 17th century Pennine inn whilst having all modern comforts. The small village has lots of interest with a lovely church and nice walks.
