We enjoyed our stay in this lovely family run Gasthof. The staff was super. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and great seating area. The shower area was modern. Everything was very clean. It is conveniently located in the center of town. Breakfast was good too.

Located in the centre of Ötz, Gasthof zum Stern is a traditional Tyrolean inn with historic frescoes, the oldest of which dates from 1573. The Hochoetz Ski Area is 400 metres away. Absolutely fabulous building dating back from the Middle Ages. The newly renovated shed is now the spa is equally fabulous. I had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to the fantastic host, Georg. He truly went above and beyond to make me feel at home, always available to assist with anything I needed. His warmth and hospitality made my experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

We literally checked out today, and I’m in a hurry to leave this review. In short, this is the best value for money we’ve experienced. In detail: The hotel has been renovated and looks beautiful, cozy, and very well maintained. We had a large room with a spacious balcony. The wooden herringbone parquet floor creates an incredible atmosphere. The freestanding bathtub is absolutely stunning, with premium fixtures. The tub fills with clear blue Alpine water — wow! The room also has underfloor heating, which makes everything even more comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and exceptionally good breakfasts. We didn’t miss dinner even once — we always chose to eat at the hotel. A special mention goes to the spa. Two excellent hot saunas, comfortable loungers with views of the mountains and trees, tasty snacks, and hot tea. Towels, bathrobes, and slippers are all provided by the hotel. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and speaks multiple languages. It was a pleasure chatting with everyone. We would love to come back again!
