We enjoyed our stay in this lovely family run Gasthof. The staff was super. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and great seating area. The shower area was modern. Everything was very clean. It is conveniently located in the center of town. Breakfast was good too.

Room was exceptionally clean, love how spacious, cosy and romantic it was! The sauna, the view magnificent. The food was delicious - dinner and breakfast. Hosts are SO accomodating. A little note that we are from Australia, and don’t speak German but it didn’t matter as everyone was so lovely and accomodating (and Google translate helps). 100% recommend if you are wanting to stay in the area.

This is essentially a guesthouse on steroids. The family that’s running it is delightful right down to the boy who was bussing and setting up tables. Spotlessly clean, large room, great balcony and view.

This "3-star" hotel? More like 5-stars-plus-plus! Seriously, someone needs to call the rating agency and fix this mistake. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty—scratch that—like family royalty. The customer service here? Unreal. Everyone knew our names, and this was our first stay! It was like staying at Cheers, where everybody knows your name, but with way better views and no Norm hogging the bar. Speaking of food, let’s give a standing ovation to the chef. Roast beef and sauerkraut? Heavenly. Sauces? Mind-blowing. And that chocolate cake topped with ice cream? STOP IT! I’d come back for that alone. Chef, you’re officially the MVP. Then there’s the restaurant setup—personalized tables with room numbers? Fancy, right? It made dining feel exclusive and stress-free. The spa? Oh, let me tell you about the spa. Hot tub, sauna, steam room, AND ultraviolet therapy? I walked out of there feeling like a whole new person. And the room? It wasn’t just a room—it was a mini-cabin of cozy luxury with breathtaking views. It was so astonishing, I almost didn’t want to leave… until I remembered the free shuttle that takes you everywhere. Town, slopes, back to town—you name it, they’ve got you covered. And can we talk about Frita? She’s the heart and soul of this place. Frita went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. If she ever leaves, this hotel loses at least one star, guaranteed. Final verdict: Best. Hotel. In. Austria. We’ll be back, no question. Just don’t raise the prices—we love you, but we’re not millionaires (yet)! P.S. If you’re reading this and you don’t book this hotel, you’re seriously missing out.

We enjoyed a lot 3 nights stay at Villa Buchenhain! We had a wonderful room (108) overlooking Ehrwald! Rooms are spacious (bedroom and living room / fully equipped kitchen). Yes, bathroom doors are made of glass :) not sure how it works when you travel with kids (we will find it out next year ;) The nearest slope is 5 mins walk. There is a ski room with heating system for the boots. SPA is very nice, with swimming pool and sauna, hammam and red infra sauna. We loved chilling there after sport days. Thank you , Lisa, for your hospitality and warm welcome! We will definitely be back!

Located in the centre of Ötz, Gasthof zum Stern is a traditional Tyrolean inn with historic frescoes, the oldest of which dates from 1573. The Hochoetz Ski Area is 400 metres away. We fell in love with the place thanks to Gogo and Andy's warm and heartfelt hospitality. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the views are breathtaking and the home-made breakfast rich and tasty. We left with tears in our eyes 🥹

We literally checked out today, and I’m in a hurry to leave this review. In short, this is the best value for money we’ve experienced. In detail: The hotel has been renovated and looks beautiful, cozy, and very well maintained. We had a large room with a spacious balcony. The wooden herringbone parquet floor creates an incredible atmosphere. The freestanding bathtub is absolutely stunning, with premium fixtures. The tub fills with clear blue Alpine water — wow! The room also has underfloor heating, which makes everything even more comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and exceptionally good breakfasts. We didn’t miss dinner even once — we always chose to eat at the hotel. A special mention goes to the spa. Two excellent hot saunas, comfortable loungers with views of the mountains and trees, tasty snacks, and hot tea. Towels, bathrobes, and slippers are all provided by the hotel. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and speaks multiple languages. It was a pleasure chatting with everyone. We would love to come back again!
