Fantastic, quiet place on the famous street. Food was delicious.

Boasting a garden and a restaurant, Castle Inn is situated in Lydford. Guests can have a drink at the bar. All rooms in the inn are fitted with a flat-screen TV.

Outstanding food, some of the best meals we have had in Devon. The Venison was sublime and the steak was just the best steak ever, desserts were just wow! The actual Inn was the cosiest and full of history and mystery! Overall a superb place to eat and sleep, staff were very friendly and very hardworking, A really great place to stay. This lovely historic is lovely. The rooms are nicely furnished and the bathrooms are modern. The breakfast had a variety of options, and did the dinner. All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in the village of Broadclyst, which is a short bus ride to and from Exeter. There is a nice walk that explores the local countryside, and the church is an historic beauty.

Situated in Tavistock, Among the various facilities are a shared lounge and a bar. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk. At the inn, the rooms are fitted with a desk and a TV.

The staff was very welcoming and very flexible to access our requests (bikes storage, travel coat, …) The decor in the rooms and in the restaurants is very beautiful and well made, the food is absolutely excellent, for dinner and breakfast!

The room was absolutely beautiful. It was in a little block on the back of the inn away from the road and away from any noise of the bar/restaurant. It was like being in a very fancy hotel. The quality of the fittings was excellent, the bathroom was lovely and the tea/coffee/biscuits/water supply was super. Everything was so well done.

What a gem of a find. Stayed in Rm 5. Such a big room. double ended bath in there with a separate large shower room and toilet. Large comfortable bed with nice sized TV if you want it. But it's the little things that make it. The tea making facilities with hot chocolate better than average coffees and fresh milk to go with it. The umbrella holder for wet brollies. The box of tissues, The little ornaments. All of these things make the room and the stay that much better. Downstairs there's a good selection of drinks in the lovely old fashioned but modern at the same time bar and restaurant, with an open fire. Can't really comment on food as we only had a bowl of chips and breakfast, but the bowl of chips was huge. Not some modern little basket. However, the breakfast was massive and superb. The owners have gone to great lengths to make this what it is and when we move, not far from Totnes next year, this will become our local for a drink.
