Surrounded by 50 hectares of its own vineyards, Locanda Palazzone is just 5 km outside of Orvieto. It features a garden with swimming pool and panoramic countryside views. We only stayed a night on our way home. I was surprised by how nice it was. The staff called in advance to ensure my wife's wheelchair could get in the lift. The hotel sits on a vineyard with a panoramic view of rolling hills and Orvieto town as backdrop. We got to buy some delicious wine.

The town was also lovely. Breakfast was robust and we ate dinner there also which was truly authentic Italian cuisine. We loved the staff and their kindness. Would return here!
