I Shika, 32 kilometer fra Notojima Glass Art Museum, ligger Pension & Cafe Cruise, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse. The couple who run the place are so, so nice, and were able to accommodate my friend’s food allergies without any problems (which, if you know Japan, you know that that’s not always the case!). Plus, the breakfast we got was huge and totally delicious. But the real draw is that the house itself is BEAUTIFUL. I can’t stress enough how charming it is- everywhere you look there’s some lovely tchotchke or antique to discover, all very lovingly arranged. There’s a huge deck outside where you can sit and enjoy the sounds of nature; a massive bath that you can share with friends/fam or keep all to yourself; a room filled with the owners’ personal collection of Showa memorabilia; etc, etc. The rooms were pretty spare but perfectly suitable, especially given all the lounge spaces in the house. Overall AMAZING experience.

Saik ligger i Kanazawa, med Kanazawa-slottet bare 2 kilometer unna. The location looks exactly like the photos, the check in is easy and the room is spacious and comfortable. It is a good way to experience the traditional houses in a quiet place. The neighbouring area is full of izakayas and other restaurants, it was a really nice stay.

I Nanao, 17 kilometer fra Notojima Glass Art Museum, ligger ROOM design hotel, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. The room was very clean and well taken care of and the beds were very super comfortable! We encountered a major personal medical situation and both Shoko and Shotaro were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure everything was sorted out for us. We will definitely return for another stay!

I Komatsu, 36 kilometer fra Kanazawa-slottet, ligger Seseraginomori Chambre d'hote Etoile et fees, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en terrasse.

Restaurant & Inn ATSUSHI -Kanazawa- ligger i Kanazawa og har en hage, restaurant, bar og gratis WiFi over hele overnattingsstedet. Was nice to stay somewhere different than your typical hotel room and to experience a ryokan. Location was great once we oriented ourselves. Easy walk to the castle grounds and the Higashi Gaya district. Only 3 rooms upstairs and once we checked in we didn’t see any staff so we were free to come and go as we pleased. Amenities were clean and sleeping mats very comfortable. Free wifi in the room was helpful. Family Mart for morning coffee only a 10 minute walk away. Air conditioning unit cooled the room down quickly- a necessity as we visited in August and heat was intense!
