All our accommodations in Japan was really good but Kyono Mori Yurinsha was the by far best! It is spotlessly clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is perfect with Nishiki market and Shinkyogoku shopping district within 10 minutes walk and Gion about 15 minutes walk. Fushimi Inari is easily accessible with direct subway from a station nearby. Nicole is really sweet and helpful and the whole family loved the freshly baked bagels for breakfast every morning. Highly recommended!

Beautiful traditional room with a super comfortable futon – we slept really well! The owner was incredibly kind, took the time to explain everything, and gave us great tips on how to get around Kyoto and what to see. They even recommended a local activity and restaurant nearby. The place is very clean and perfectly located.

The staff had little English, but we both tried hard and good-naturedly, and successfully to communicate. The neighborhood was charming and not touristy. Very comfortable.
