The hosts were amazing! They were really helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The home was unique as it was previously a cafe and it was sparkling clean and very comfortable. Lovely children's books and magazines.

Conveniently close to everything in Hakuba, Epic Japanese themed layout with awesome communal area, snowboard tuning table with all the tools and racks in the snow gear storage area downstairs, The owner Lee is a Great bloke, Overall stoked with my stay and will be back. Situated in Hakuba and with Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area reachable within 14 km, sneaky peaks features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. It felt cosy and was very clean considering a lot of the spaces were shared. The staff were great and very easy to get along with - they actually seemed to enjoy their job and want to be there with the guests + were always happy to help. The shuttle service in the AM was super helpful.

Situated within 22 km of Ryuoo Ski Park and 33 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park, Sunshine Kyohei features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Nozawa Onsen. The room is quite spacious, has aircon/ heater, and a wash basin is a big plus. The staff has been trying hard to make our stay comfortable. Location is very good, close to both skiing areas.

Located in Hakuba, within 13 km of Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area and 40 km of Nagano Station, Lift Inn Hakuba Goryu provides accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi throughout the property as... If you're here for Ski, there's no better place to stay than Lift Inn Hakuba. Everything you'll need from Ski Hire/Restaurants/Ski Schools/Lift/Lift Pass is in Ezcal Plaza which is only a couple minutes walk away, this is super convenient especially for skiers carrying heavy equipment and wearing stiff boots. Our host, Nicolas is also very kind and would do his very best to make sure our stay is as comfortable as possible. Appreciate him for taking the time to pick us up from Hakuba Happo bus stop to the accommodation during our arrival as well as dropping us off when we're leaving Hakuba. Super nice guy also easily reachable via whatsapp if you need anything Love our room as well, we get a panoramic view of the Ski area for you to watch as people fall on their ski/snowboard which was cool. Our initial worry was that there might be a lot of noise staying so close to the action, fortunately it was pretty quiet and we slept soundly in all our 4 nights stay. The room has both a space heater and AC to keep you warm. The accommodation has shared facilities like dedicated room for storing ski equipment, a washing machine, and also a fully equipped kitchen we're free to use, Nicolas also provided fresh pastries on the counter, and some food in the fridge.

Restmance Pension Woody Hill is situated in Iiyama, within 25 km of Ryuoo Ski Park and 30 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park. This 2-star inn offers a ski pass sales point, a shared lounge and free WiFi. This was one of the best stays in any pension house I had all over Japan. The hosts really made it feel like home. The owner took us to onsen every evening and we shared dinner/drinks in the evening as well. Recently renovated and everything was really nice. Parking spots were available and it was a short walk up to the ski resort. If you were not going to ski during the day, you can work with ample space in the lodge to set up.

First Tracks Madarao has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Iiyama. One of the best experiences during the whole trip. Mick (the owner) and his family and hired staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They drove us around the town helped us rent ski equipment at a discount and recommended lots of incredible restaurants. We even had the chance to get dinner together at a nearby onsen (tattoo friendly!). It all felt like we were part of a huge, international family. Our stay also fell right at my birthday and they went out of their way to celebrate it. We were also the only guests since we arrive before the busy season started, so they treated us even extra special. We were even able to get snowboarding and skiing lessons from the family at a very cheap price!

Located in Hakuba, within 11 km of Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area and 42 km of Nagano Station, Piremon provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... The owner was excellent, dropped us off to the ski resorts daily without fail, was super helpful and the room was perfect for what we needed! Lovely dogs too!

Situated in Nozawa Onsen, 21 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Villa Kubota features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This 2-star inn has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. If you are looking for real traditional Japanese stay, this is place for you. Great breakfast made by the hosts are great start of the day, and hot water and tea is provided each day to warm you up. I have enjoyed every day of my stay there. It might be at the end of the village, but first gondola is just few minutes of walk away, and I also enjoyed walking to village center in the evening and seeing beautiful nature along the way.
