Located in Cercal, within 15 km of Sao Clemente Fort and 17 km of Pessegueiro Island, Casa do Chafariz - Rooms provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as... Easy access (despite no in person reception). Very clean, modern room with thoughtful shared amenities (fridge, coffee, water). Awesome shower. 10 rooms (total), only two of which were in use so my stay was very quiet. I didn't use the garden area, but it looked lovely. I was walking the Rota Vicentina (Historical), so I didn't have a lot of extra time to check out the town, but I did walk to the Ermida de Nossa (a combo spring fed pool/fountain) which I highly recommend. Dinner at the next-door restaurant (Cafe A Lareira - say hi to Samantha, Hugo and Jessica for me!) was excellent and very informative as the South African/Portuguese owners speak perfect English and know the area very well.

Hospedaria Canto do Rossio is set in Vidigueira, within 26 km of São Matias and 40 km of Baleizão. Nice and very clean room. Amazing value for the price. The owner was always fast on replying any question. All good and smooth

Elvas the Queen Residence is set in Elvas, within 20 km of Badajoz Fortress and 200 metres of Municipal Library of Elvas. We had a good sized, very centrally located room. The well designed private bathroom was just down the hall which was not an inconvenience.

Located in Castelo de Vide, 8.8 km from Roman City of Ammaia, Casa da Avó Tina features views of the mountain.

ALOJAMENTO ELVAS LUSO ESPANHOLA is set in Elvas, 20 km from Badajoz Fortress and 1.7 km from Municipal Library of Elvas. With free WiFi, this 3-star inn offers a concierge service. Nice location, good quality for the price. It was a pleasant stay. Room had air conditioning and shower. We were able to use a kitchen to prepare tea and eat our breakfast. There is also a reserved parking slot. And Elvas is nice, we were there during the Medieval festival, which is amazing.
