The hotel is amazing, the ultimate comfort and the owners are so lovely. Each morning, the breakfast was incredible with so much selection and care (and good coffee)!

Situated in Quadrazais, 37 km from Guarda Train Station, Casa do Manego features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. we don’t give easily full 5 stars, but Casa do Manego fully deserves it. Stunning view, very complete room with separate bedrooms, lots of nice details! the place was spic&span, nothing to wish for. Reality is better than the pictures on the website. Very good value for money! thanks for having us

The place is beautiful and comfortable. We loved having an entire apartment, and especially the beautiful terrace. The proprietors are very nice and helpful, and gave us good tips on things to do. The grounds are awesome, even though it was tough for us to walk into town.

Situated in Sabugueiro, 20 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela, Monte Estrela features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Let’s be clear here… if you’re expecting a chain hotel approach and that’s what you want you’ll scratch your head at my ratings..you folks will find more of what you’re looking for in Manteigas, probably. HOWEVER… if you genuinely want to learn more of the culture of Portugals mountain people and sample their diet and laid back way of family life this village and the people who run this hotel will provide you with that in abundance. The diet is simple, but cooked with love… delicious too. Scenery is stunning, you’re about 15 mins drive from Torre here for reference. But, a good hotel is made by the people who run it. I was warmly welcomed on arrival, enjoyed the people and the area so much I stayed an extra night and we parted this morning as firm friends. Can’t say fairer than that can you…. Then, the price…. Really good value in my opinion

Casa Vermelha has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Vila Nova de Foz Coa. Loved the room, the veranda overlooking the orange trees (which provided fresh juice at breakfast). Lots of birds singing in the yard. Staff was very nice. Be prepared to use Portuguese or translation tools.
