The host Paulo was absolutely fantastic - he gave helpful advice regarding the tracks/walks and local recommendations. He was friendly and warm and immediately made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were the best included breakfasts that we’ve had anywhere (and we’ve travelled a lotttt). We we given a room with a balcony which was perfect for a casual snack/drink in the afternoon. I think this place is the best value for money we’ve found :)

We really liked the view of the room. The breakfast was very good and delicious. The staff is very kind and helpful. They were really flexible with our late check in.

Although it is a bit outside the city, the panoramic view surpasses the distance. You don’t need advanced driving skills to get to the property as previous reviewers commented. The place was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our one night stay. The quietness of the surrounding will give you perfect sleeping conditions. Good cost/benefit ratio!

Very smooth and hassle-free booking. Excellent self check-in instructions, clear and well described. Despite the central location, finding parking on nearby streets was not an issue. The place had everything I needed and was perfect for a short stay before departure - a comfortable base after trekking and exploring Madeira, with easy access to the city for last-minute shopping.
