Food was great (breakfast and dinner), coffee was delicious, and the staff were lovely. The view is unbeatable! The road to reach the property is a but long and bumpy- we hired a 4x4 to drive us from the main road which made it super easy.

The location is up the hills in Minca and is a bumpy ride to get there, but that is to be expected since you are in nature. Our room was big and spacious and we had an amazing view that was a combo of nature and the city of Santa Marta. They had amazing juices and the food was really up to standards. The tours/cleansing ceremonies that we booked through them were really nice and worth it for the money. We did the fire ceremony, ancestral healing massage and cocao tour with waterfall (lot of walking but worth it!). The staff was very friendly and the property was amazing to unwind and relax. Take note that to get to your room you do have to climb some stairs that are made of rocks but it's totally doable, just not your typical hotel, but again you are in nature and its to be expected.

We had a really good experience at Bajo el cielo. The staff is super friendly, and they treat you like royalty. The view is AMAZING. We stayed here during summer. Upon check out, we meet the manager, and I mentioned to him, that the glampings are in need of ceiling fans, because it is hot at night time during the SUMMER, and he completely ignored my suggestion. Hope the owners can do something in regards to ceiling fans, or mini splits a/c. Other than that, it is a great place to stay.

Amazing location. Comfortable. Amazing views. Right in nature. Staff were extremely friendly. The road to get there is not paved: if coming by car, you need a 4x4 that is off-road ready. Otherwise, there are readily accessible moto-taxis from Minca.

Good location right next to city center bus stop back to Santa Marta. Good if you just want to explore the area and use it as a base. The pool isn’t really a pool, just a shallow pit of water. Too many mosquitoes to hang around in common area (not a hostel issue). Fans in room were enough for sleeping at night
