The room was spacious, spotless, and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed and high-quality linens. The bathroom, featuring double sinks, was also very roomy. The location is excellent, and the historic building has plenty of character and is beautifully decorated. Breakfast and the restaurants were outstanding—one of them even has a Michelin mention. Every member of the staff was attentive and welcoming, especially a young receptionist with blonde hair and blue eyes who mentioned she was a student. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest hotels in Gothenburg.

Scandic Opalen enjoys a central location in Gothenburg, only a 10-minute walk from Liseberg Amusement Park. It offers air conditioned rooms with cable TV and free Wi-Fi access.

We chose Scandic Opalen due to its proximity to Ullevi stadium where we attended the Coldplay concert. Very satisfied with our stay here. Comfortable and clean rooms. A rich and tasty buffet breakfast. Most importantly, very friendly, warm and helpful reception staff. Very easy check in and check out. I would definitely stay in Scandic Opalen again.

There was a wide choice of items for breakfast, all well presented and piping hot where applicable. The serving staff constantly topping up items when needed. The room was bright and comfortable. I really like the idea of hsving it serviced only when I deemed it necessary and not on a daily baasic whether needed or not. he hotel is very central to city, bus and rail services.

Accommodation had been great. Nice view into the marina, surprisingly warm during winter with a soft relaxing swing. Staff had been exceptional, offering an excellent service. The district Ringön provides an exciting atmosphere of an industrial port yet with good restaurants/bars nearby.
