Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. Very quiet and incredibly beautiful place. The hotel territory is a huge garden with paved paths and only 11 bungalow rooms. Everything is very clean, neat and tastefully decorated. There’s a nice restaurant opened for breakfast and dinner. During the day the hotel can organize a horseback riding or an ATV experience. A definite recommendation!

Offering outdoor pool and a hot tub, Hotel Roca Negra Del Arenal is located in the suburbs of Fortuna. Free Wi-Fi access is available. We stayed in a "Deluxe King Room" which is one of the newer cabins. It was clean and smart, with a lovely covered terrace. These cabins are a sufficient distance from the main road thus avoiding traffic noise. It was also a benefit to be able to park our rental car right outside the cabin. The gardens were beautiful, attracting loads of birds (especially Hummingbirds) which we could watch from our terrace. There were several restaurants within walking distance and it was only a short drive to the Volcan Arenal National Park

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... The views were fantastic, Arenal volcano is intimidating ( as it is very close to the resort) but mesmerising. The bird life is abundant and the Coatis walk around ignoring people just doing their own things (which is as it should be) The breakfast was fantastic. The road to the resort is a dirt road and could be rough. there are no lights at night ,hence be careful when venturing out at night.However if you have a good car and consider the road conditions it can be easily done with an SUV or a constant 4WD. I will recommend a big car but not necessarily 4x4. As the resort is very isolated the only place to have dinner is the restaurant which was expensive. However with a good car you can venture into the small local towns an have a multitude of choices.( alway ask the staff about eating choices you will get good information from them ).Hence that is one of the reasons I will recommend an SUV. As the resort is so vast you could stay there without going anywhere else and honestly say you know Cost Rica. The waterfall within the property was breathtaking, you get to it via a beautiful walk via the forest. There are 2 suspending bridges, lots of well marked walks and the births are. amazing.

Everything was perfectly clean, well maintained, and in a beautiful, peaceful environment. Everything worked exactly as it should. Good homemade breakfast.

Located within 7.2 km of La Fortuna Waterfall and 6.5 km of Kalambu Hot Springs, Hotel Arenal Glamping features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Fortuna. The sounds of the birds in the morning and rain at night are magical. This place is extremely unique and the perfect place to experience Arenal. Staff was phenomenal. All of their recommendations were spot on and they helped me make dinner reservations and book activities. This is the best way to experience Arenal. The grounds are beautiful and serene.

Situated in Fortuna, 7.4 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Noah's Forest Hotel by Tifakara features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The glass windows provided a beautiful view to the gardens. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi during the storm and the swimming pool while having a wonderful cocktail! The breakfast was also amazing - best platanos in Costa Rica so far!Our host Anna was very welcoming! Also, Erick and Daniel were really helpful and showed us the sloths residing in the property!

Malekus Mountain Lodge features a garden, a shared lounge and a sun terrace with swimming pool and continental breakfast in Aguas Claras. Great location, nice parc and lovely hotel. Roger was always willing to give advices and smiling just like his wife. We had access to the pool(s), inside and outside and even to the kitchen for the fridge.one of the best place to rest between 2 hard hikes.
