It was just the two of us in house and the hosts. Was so cute they hosted us for drinks then dinner. They barely speak English and we only speak a little French so there was a lot of Google translate but it was hilarious. They're so lovely. And then they put on breakfast spread for us too. Nice to have essentially a home cooked meal and a cosy place to stay.

Location v rural. Idyllic and quiet. Host very sympathetic to rural living and local produce. Very interesting ideas in sustainable living. This area is very off the beaten track but worth a visit. The route from there to the Rhone Valley was very beautiful. Here you feel in a very timeless France

The location is absolutely fantastic on a hill above Aubenas overlooking the plain, its terrasse for breakfast, a drink during the day or for dinner is fabulous. We had our road bikes for day trips in the Ardèche, the location has a garage where bikes can be kept safe. But the unbeatable aspect is the hospitality of the whole young management as a family business, we found it very difficult to leave that lovely place... and will come back!

The property is beautiful, comfortable, extremely clean, furnished with taste and designed with attention to detail. We felt welcomed and cared for.

A lovely suite in a converted stone farmhouse in the teeny tiny village of Chirols. Marinou is sweet and welcoming and delivers a delicious breakfast in the morning. The suite is spacious and certainly romantic for those seeking some solitude together. I was worried the jacuzzi would add a tacky touch, but to the contrary, it was all very tastefully done! Couldn’t recommend Chez Marinou more for a night or two in Ardèche.

Situated in Montpezat-sous-Bauzon and with Casino de Vals-les-Bains reachable within 20 km, L'Auberge De Montpezat features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi... Very cosy, lovely people running the place. Great dinner.

Set in a beautiful location, the premises is an old building renovated to a high standard. Very clean and great hosts with a small shop on site. The rooms are very comfortable and if you need anything the hosts will try to help. We arrived on a motorbike in poor weather and the hosts dried our clothes for us.
