They barely speak English and we only speak a little French so there was a lot of Google translate but it was hilarious. They're so lovely. And then they put on breakfast spread for us too. Nice to have essentially a home cooked meal and a cosy place to stay.

The hotel is situated on the top of a hill, with a panoramic view - roughly south - out over the countryside. The town centre of Aubenas is about 2.5 km away by car and takes less than 10 minutes to reach. It would be possible to walk into Aubenas (about 1.5 km), but due to the traffic and weather conditions we decided to drive. We found a parking space in the town in the evening without a problem. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, and the hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The view from our room was lovely, looking out towards Aubenas and the Chateau, and the breakfast room has a similar view. The hotel has ample parking space, and also an outdoor swimming pool which unfortunately we didn't have time to use. The bedroom and integrated bathroom were both roomy and well designed, and the shower was wonderful! All in all a lovely experience for us and we were only sorry that we couldn't stay longer.

The property is beautiful, comfortable, extremely clean, furnished with taste and designed with attention to detail. We felt welcomed and cared for.

Chez Marinou tilbyr overnatting med en terrasse og balkong i tillegg til utsikt over fjellet. Her bor du bare 11 kilometer unna Casino de Vals-les-Bains. A lovely suite in a converted stone farmhouse in the teeny tiny village of Chirols. Marinou is sweet and welcoming and delivers a delicious breakfast in the morning. The suite is spacious and certainly romantic for those seeking some solitude together. I was worried the jacuzzi would add a tacky touch, but to the contrary, it was all very tastefully done! Couldn’t recommend Chez Marinou more for a night or two in Ardèche.

L'Auberge De Montpezat ligger i Montpezat-sous-Bauzon, med Casino de Vals-les-Bains bare 20 kilometer unna. Very cosy, lovely people running the place. Great dinner.

Set in a beautiful location, the premises is an old building renovated to a high standard. Very clean and great hosts with a small shop on site. The rooms are very comfortable and if you need anything the hosts will try to help. We arrived on a motorbike in poor weather and the hosts dried our clothes for us.
