The view is incredible. We also went on a short hike to the Heljarfoss waterfall. Also we were lucky – we saw a small whale twice.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. Quiet area, great location, beautiful views. All accessories for cooking. Hot tube in the terrace. Pleasant host family, we communicated several times before arriving.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. The property was easy to find, and is very well located for day trips around Egilsstaðir. The house was clean, cozy and nicely decorated. There was a washing machine as well, which was very handy. The beds were comfortable. The area was very quiet, a bit outside of Egilsstaðir, but very quick to drive there. From the open area where the cottages are, there is a short path to a jacuzzi (which was spotless) and there is also a sauna. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. The bed and room are great, the staff are so nice, specially the lady in the kitchen and the breakfast is beautiful 😍
