Location, staff, food - dinner and breakfast, cleaninness! The view of the room was super nice! Breakfast was really nice, with good options on the buffet but also the chef cooking fresh eggs and omelette!

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Beautiful, well stocked, everything was there, everything worked! The washer and dryer were a plus!!

It’s a bit remote, but perfect for disconnecting. It has everything you need, though it’s a good idea to stop by a store before your visit. The jacuzzi and grill are a great addition. The view is incredible. We also went on a short hike to the Heljarfoss waterfall. Also we were lucky – we saw a small whale twice.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. Friendly staff, hot tubs, tasty dinner and breakfast.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. We saw an amazingly big and lasting Aurora borealis. Great place to catch it. It lasted so long we could hop in the jacuzzi and watch it from there. The house and the area is comfortable and cute Overall an amazing experience, all about this house is 10/10

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. This Fjord that the house is located in is one of the most beautiful! The house is absolutely perfect and comfortable. It is cozy, warm and clean. The hot tub on the deck is fantastic! I highly recommend staying here!

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Looked brand new in the room. Well appointed and clean.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. They were very kind on our requests, especially for the late check in! Even the breakfast was very good.
