Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. The surroundings are just magical. Staff is really kind. Dinner and breakfast were really good. I very much recommend

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Great location, beautiful view from room, mint condition, great restaurant and staff. Best place we stayed in Iceland. Puffin cliff just nearby.

Nastanitev Sólbrekka Holiday Homes je v mestu Mjóifjörður. Ta počitniška hiška nudi razgled na morje ter gore in nudi tudi brezplačen WiFi. The location and the cottage!!!! OMFG on arrival, we could spot seals and a dolphin! It was so silent that we could even hear the dolphin’s breath! There aren’t enough words to compliment this place! During our 17 day trip in Iceland, this was the best best best location! PS - gravel road is OK, as long as you take it slow and have a 4x4.

Hosts were lovely, gave us a lot of recommendations and told us a lot about Iceland. They were very helpful letting us checking in late after a long drive. The place is clean and nice and they really think about every little detail! Highly recommended!

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. I Laugarfell every year in September with friends and we love this place. The staff is always so friendly. Looking forward to next year visit.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. We loved the cabin and its surroundings. It's secluded enough to feel isolated, yet a five-minute drive from the grocery store, gas station, etc. It was clean and all the appliances were in perfect working order. We cooked dinner and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. Amazing house which in real life is even bigger than at photos. Hosts are very hospitable and attentive. Views are truly wonderful because of its location.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was clean, they had good drinks and the spa was quiet and not crowded at all. They also had a washing machine and dryer you could use for free. We went here in the middle of July.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very lovely chalets, reminded me of alpine wood huts. Very comfortable and cozy although they might get a little cold during winter months. But enough blankets and heating possibilities were provided. Very nice owner who was totally helpful and offered us different rooms upon arrival if we would not be satisfied. All in all a great, although short stay.
