Superb location, beautiful rooms and the most fabulous staff !!! The meals were fantastic as was the service. Such a peaceful stay.

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. it was a cute room in a stunning location. the drive here is truly something I think everyone should experience! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. the pool / hot tub looked like they were nice too, but I arrived a bit too late to enjoy them.

Despite being in a rather secluded location, my family and i absolutely love the house. The owner, helga, introduced his dogs to us which we loved!! If you love animals, this is a dream!

Nastanitev Skorrahestar se nahaja v mestu Neskaupstaður v regiji Austurland in ponuja brezplačen WiFi, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče ter dostop do vroče kopeli. Skorrahestar is a gem. From the warm greeting by the owners who treat you like family to the excellent beds and showers to the exceptional breakfast (mostly home made from scratch) we had the most wonderful time. You also get full access to the huge and more than well equipped kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. Going riding is a pleasure as well, the horses are well schooled and the surroundings are beautiful. We will definitely go back there next time we're in the East Fjords.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. Amazing location and great dinner and breakfast! The hot pools were so nice!

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Beautiful lake view, comfortable rooms with 24/7 staff. Breakfast was really good!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Honest family business. Amazing breakfast.
