Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. We did not have time to use the spa. Breakfast choice was very good. The view out on to the harbour was really fantastic, smell of salty water and seaweed, just like home. Beautiful dining area. I met the owner of the property, who was really nice to speak with. The staff were great too. The northern lights were just so beautiful.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. I Laugarfell every year in September with friends and we love this place. The staff is always so friendly. Looking forward to next year visit.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. This is a beautifully designed/decorated place. Although it is on the small side they have done an excellent job of making everything as comfortable as possible. Everything is well thought out and made for a comfortable 1 night stay. Loved the duck lamp!

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. Amazing house which in real life is even bigger than at photos. Hosts are very hospitable and attentive. Views are truly wonderful because of its location.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. A beautiful old hotel with modern amenities, and an excellent restaurant. A perfect place to relax on the lake!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. The staff was very welcoming and polite, nice breakfast and good location.
