This was such an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to stay for just one night but ended up staying 4! Okay, from the beginning. We had different accommodation in Hakuba, but we weren’t satisfied so we were looking for something else and found Dark Horse by chance. The moment we walked into the house, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Andy, Rika, Momo and Hana create something truly special. We’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and such, but this one will stay in our hearts for a long time. Everything is well thought out, you can see it’s taken care of down to the smallest detail, you can see it’s done properly and not just to be the cheapest. We felt so beautifully hosted. They also have an amazing sake collection to try, and the food is delicious too. Thank you again and we already miss it. I hope we’ll get the chance to meet again. PS. Beautiful accommodation with excellent facilities. Plenty of space and very comfortable for bigger groups or families. Concierge team started a whatsapp chat group a day prior to check in and were responsive throughout our stay with any questions we had.

The Onsens are fantastic after a day on the slopes, as well as relaxing in the cosy lounge room. Can't wait to be back!
