The property is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was very large with comfortable futon mattresses. We had a separate area with a table and tatami mats and cushions which we used for eating snacks and relaxing. The community bath was exquisite - clean, several separate baths, and a large gorgeous mosaic made the area very calming and luxurious. The staff were very kind and accommodating.

The bedding is crazy comfortable, like, best sleep of our trip good. And the location is great and near many good restaurants. Genki and Emi prepared many recommendations and tips for us, and we look forward to staying in touch!!

The host was so helpful and had so many tips, she also filled the fridge with all the things we needed. She showed us a lot of things we should check out and good restaurants as well. Our host, Big Bear San, went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience He gave us advice on bus transport and picked us up from the highway bus stop, saving us an hour each way. He essentially acted as our guide, helped us see the Sandankyo gorge by adapting our schedule to the weather. He took us up to climb Mt. Shinnyu and showed us other beautiful viewpoints. He shuttled us out to a restaurant for dinner and cooked us breakfast on our last morning. He speaks excelled English and is an interesting and compassionate human being. One of the best experiences we had in Japan
