It was very nice for the host to prepare our beds before arriving which made everything super convenient for me and my friends. The host also provided towels/toothbrushes etc which was very nice. The location was very close to a convenience store and there are places to eat nearby which was wonderful. I will definitely stay here in the future if I want to travel again with my friends to Ibaraki!

The traditional Japanese-style rooms are perfect for a group of ten people. Though the location seems far, it only takes 70 minutes train ride from Ueno Station in Tokyo to reach Mito Station.

割烹旅館霞ヶ浦 is situated in Itako, 16 km from Kashima Stadium, 33 km from Naritasan Park, and 33 km from Narita Airport Terminal 2. We were very impressed with the traditional food served for both dinner and breakfast—it was delicious and beautifully presented. The Unagi was the best dish; we absolutely loved it! We also really enjoyed the quality of the onsen—it felt moisturizing and very comfortable. The hotel price was quite reasonable compared to the excellent service we experienced. I would highly recommend this ryokan to others, and I hope to come back again someday.
