Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. I like that the staff is very nice, they helped us even with cleaning our baggage. The breakfast is very diverse and you also have champagne at it. This hotel also has happy hour which means free drinks and food. Also we had a private onsen with a greaat view.

Would recommend! A bit far from the center but a great way to escape from all the tourists and many options to have dinner nearby + bus stop very close.

The room has no windows but it was very nice to rest and sleep. Wish that the breakfast has more options but all in all everything was good.
