Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Amazing staff, impressive facilities and the dinner and breakfast buffets were amazing !! Me and my partner really loved the place ! We can't wait to come back. It was definitely worth the experience !

Hakone Suimeiso ligger 3 minutters gange fra Hakone Yumoto stasjon og en 15-minutters spasertur fra Sounji-tempelet. Melinda was the hostess who took care of us for the 2 nights. She was very professional, friendly and took the time to explain each dishes to us at dinner and breakfast. The same can be said of all the staff. The Kaseiki dinner and breakfast were exceptional, especially the quality of the sashimi. We stayed 2 nights and the menus are different on both days. Our traditional room is very clean, on the 5th floor with view of trees and river below. The outdoor onsen was small but very clean, with the same beautiful trees and river views. I was pretty much the only peson at the outdoor onsen in the evening, so quiet and relaxing with sound of the river . We also booked the private onsens for 2 days and they were also clean with modern aesthetic vibes.

Smart Villa Hakone Gora - Smart Villa 箱根強羅 har en badstue og et boblebad, i tillegg til boenheter med klimaanlegg og gratis WiFi, og ligger i Hakone, 8,5 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon. Amenities were great! Loved the sauna and onsen outside. Beds were super comfy. Aesthetic was nice.

I Hakone, 12 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon, ligger YUPOPPO Hakone, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. This was my first experience staying at a ryokan, and I am so happy with how everything turned out. The "Family Room" was the only option left for the dates that I booked, so even though it was only my husband and I staying, we are so glad that we ended up with that large room in particular. It was incredibly spacious, and it even had its own toilet (the other room options have a shared toilet.) Dai was a great host. He let us check in a bit early and gave us a brief overview of the place. He was very hospitable, but not intrusive by any means. The entire facility appeared very clean and well-kept. The train theming was a cute touch. Wifi was great, private onsen was nice, and the meals were delicious. Only a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus stop. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

This has to be one of my favorite hotel stays ever. I just loved hanging out in the relaxing lounge on the ground floor and enjoying the selection of sake. And the room! Incredibly spacious and comfortable- actually it’s a suite. Awesome value and a ten minute walk to the train station.
