Bare 14 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon og 37 kilometer fra Shuzenji-tempelet ligger NEW OPEN『天然温泉』芦ノ湖畔の完全貸切別荘, som har gratis WiFi og en hage. It has its own onsen bath and a kotatsu-like heated carpet on a low table where we had fun chatting while heating our legs.

I Hakone, 12 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon, ligger Hotel Morinokaze Hakone Sengokuhara, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en bar. Veldig hyggelig betjening, fantastisk rom med eget bad / onsen på balkongen med nydelig utsikt. Veldig god middag.

I Hakone, 12 kilometer fra Hakone-Yumoto stasjon, ligger YUPOPPO Hakone, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. Everything was very nice in this very traditional Ryokan, including the little train-oriented decor. The owner was very kind and helpful, and also gave us an unexpected little welcome cake. The possibility to book a private onsen (male & female together) in the evening and morning was also much appreciated!

Ideally located in Yokohama, The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama, open from September 2020, offers lavishly-decorated air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. The room and view was spectacular. Truly 5 star. The gym was very well equipped and open 24 hours…even Chris Bumsted (Mr Olympia) would have been happy. The spa facilities were excellent.

SAKE Kura Hotel 川崎宿 ligger i Kawasaki i Kanagawa og har en bar. Her bor du 5,3 kilometer fra Omori Hachiman Shrine og 5,7 kilometer fra Miwa Itsukushima Shrine. We stayed four nights and used it as a base to get to Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura from there. The room was a lot bigger than the typical Japanese hotel rooms. There are no windows, so it's always dark in the room, which is OK for when you get back and just want to go to sleep. A bit odd not knowing if the sun is up in the morning through. The bathroom was huge! And the bath was also a jacuzzi. Nice and quiet area of Kawasaki that is not too far from the train station (both for JR as well as the train from Haneda). We arrived early at Haneda (landed 5.30am). We got to the hotel by 8.30am, and Sou who welcomed us there was happy to store our luggage (check-in as usual for most hotels in Japan is 3pm). We went straight to Tokyo and got back at 8.30pm. At that stage the luggage was in our room, and we could help ourselves to the Oden and Sake. The breakfast was simple, two onigiri, a bowl of miso, coffee, juice AND sake available too. There's a laundromat just across the road. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. It's nice staying in Kawasaki, away from the busy Tokyo.
