Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Everything! The staffs, evening entertainment, garden, restaurants, gift shop, the check in and checkout process, the hot spring tub in the patio, all excellent!

Hakone Suimeiso is located a 3-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Sounji Temple. It offers public hot-spring baths, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi access. The food was probably the best I had during our trip in Japan - if you stay in this Ryokan, I strongly advise you to take this option. Open air onsens were really nice and cosy. The Ryokan is really close to the train station, it was really easy to get there.

Ken Hotel Tokyo Shinjuku provides a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi in the centre of Tokyo, 400 metres from Jisho-in Temple. excellent location in a residential area but 15 minutes close to Shinjuku et many metro stations that take you in 30 minutes to all areas (ginza, asakusa, roppingi) very clean, with amenities to cook small things, and quite spacious apartment for Tokyo very quiet at night and comfortable bed

Set in Nikko, COZY Inn Free Shuttle service is a recently renovated accommodation, 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Incredible house with traditional Japanese interior, the host Hiro-san was the best, so nice and helpful, gave us lifts to the station, prepared a hot bath for us, such an amazing host So tranquil up in Nikko

Set in Tokyo and with Moyai Statue reachable within 500 metres, Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi and a bar. Location and the room was fabulous. Full kitchen and washing machine. Next time we will stay a week or more. Just wonderful

Conveniently situated in the centre of Tokyo, TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK provides air-conditioned rooms, free bikes, free WiFi and an outdoor swimming pool. Beautiful architecture and design, great location, helpful staff and a wonderful pool. A memorable stay in a country that is memorable anyway.
