Located in Kyoto and with Kyoto Station reachable within less than 1 km, Dusit Thani Kyoto provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a bar. Everything :) All staff were so friendly, informative and professional. Very fluent in English too which we really appreciate. I had a nice experience at the spa. Clean and spacious room. We love the mini bar set up too. The gym and other hotel facilities are fabulous. We will definitely come back. Thank you for making our stay very memorable and enjoyable.

J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. Super nice place, extremely clean and beautifully done. The private onsens are amazing and are a huge plus. Great location to explore Yunomine Onsen and to trek the Kumano Kodo. Free rice in the evening and rice porridge in the morning (cooked with onsen water I think) as well as a great huge kitchen to cook in. We ended up having dinner in a local restaurant because we were too lazy to cook. There is a convenience store close by to buy the eggs and sweet potatoes you can boil in the Onsen water. The staff was extremely nice. Good atmosphere among other guests as well.

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi. Staying at Eko-in was an exceptional and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking the Okunoin cemetery night tour—it was both atmospheric and deeply moving. The meals are fully vegetarian and beautifully presented. If you're not a fan of tofu, some of the dinner dishes might not be to your taste—but that, too, is part of the cultural and spiritual experience. I was initially anxious about sleeping on a traditional futon, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable and added to the overall sense of authenticity. A truly unique stay.

We could not have breakfast because it was not disponible. It was a pitty, we would like to try it. We liked very much the location. It was very interesting to wander on those alleys in the morning and sharing a litle of the life of locals, on their morning movements
