Well situated in Kyoto, Hotel Emion Kyoto offers a buffet breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a terrace, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. We simply love everything at this hotel. I honestly don't understand some bad reviews. The service was impeccable, the attention for the details as well. I stayed in a 5* hotel in Europe and don't even get close to what they offer. Close to the station, a few minutes walking and close to a nice bakery (Sizuya). Thanks we loved it.

J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. Super nice place, extremely clean and beautifully done. The private onsens are amazing and are a huge plus. Great location to explore Yunomine Onsen and to trek the Kumano Kodo. Free rice in the evening and rice porridge in the morning (cooked with onsen water I think) as well as a great huge kitchen to cook in. We ended up having dinner in a local restaurant because we were too lazy to cook. There is a convenience store close by to buy the eggs and sweet potatoes you can boil in the Onsen water. The staff was extremely nice. Good atmosphere among other guests as well.

Situated conveniently in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, 祇園四条ホテル is set 100 metres from Gion Shijo Station, 800 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and 1.7 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference... We stayed there for only one night and wished if it could have been more. Totally loved the place. Centrally located in Kyoto. Minutes walking to the best spots in town. Just cross the street for a metro station and a bus stop. Overlooking the river. Regarding our room it was huge compared to hotels in Japan, our bathroom had a hot tub, pyjamas (kimono style), definitely a Japanese styled bidet and a very large TV screen. They allow luggage storage before check in and after check out. Decent staff. Totally recommended

Everything was delicious, with strong attention to detail giving you a humble luxury that feels typically Japanese. The room was simply gorgeous and the bed incredibly comfortable. The complementary items (late night soba, stocked fridge) made it even more special and intentional.
