Ook een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, zowel Aziatisch als Westers.

J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse ligt in Hongu, op 10 minuten rijden of 70 minuten wandelen van de Kumano Kodo-pelgrimsroute vanaf Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. The hostel was fantastic. We rented a tatami room, which was spotless, very comfortable and with a really nice view. The onsen was amazing, we absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, there were snacks, eggs to boil in the onsens in town and all cooking and serving tools to eat them afterwards. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. This was our favourite stay along the Kumano Kodo, despite being the cheapest.

Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei ligt op 10 minuten lopen van de levendige buurt Kawaramachi en biedt accommodatie in Japanse stijl met moderne faciliteiten en een traditioneel design. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a pretty good location with lots of restaurants nearby. 10-12 mins walk from bus stop or train station which is reasonable. Shower was good and futon bed comfortable. There's a lounge area where you can have food and chat.

Situated along the Okawa River renowned for beautiful cherry blossoms, Imperial Hotel Osaka is a prestigious 5-star hotel with elegant guest rooms, a fitness centre and various fine dining options. De 1000-jaar oude boeddhistische tempel 高野山 宿坊 恵光院 -Koyasan Syukubo Ekoin Temple- biedt accommodatie in Japanse stijl, een prachtige tuin en gratis WiFi. Staying at Eko-in was an exceptional and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking the Okunoin cemetery night tour—it was both atmospheric and deeply moving. The meals are fully vegetarian and beautifully presented. If you're not a fan of tofu, some of the dinner dishes might not be to your taste—but that, too, is part of the cultural and spiritual experience. I was initially anxious about sleeping on a traditional futon, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable and added to the overall sense of authenticity. A truly unique stay.

祇園四条ホテル is goed gelegen in de wijk Higashiyama (Speciale Wijk) in Kyoto, en is gelegen op een paar minuten lopen van station Gion Shijo, 9 minuten lopen van Samurai Kembu Kyoto en 1,7 km van Kyoto... Bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent. Even though it was on a busy corner, the room was very quiet and soundproofed. One of the best hotels we have stayed at during our trip in Japan!

Nazuna Kyoto Higashi Honganji is goed gelegen in het centrum van Kyoto, op 6 minuten lopen van TKP Garden City Kyoto en minder dan 1 km van station Kyoto. The room was very cosy and comfortable. Perfect for unwinding after busy days of sightseeing and crowds. The bath does wonders for tired legs from walking. The room is stocked with an assortment of free drinks and traditional snacks are provided in the lobby. The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and close to other public transport. We walked to most of the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke very good English so it was easy to communicate. Our breakfast was cooked with care each morning, making it a great start of each day. We would definitely come back!
