Opened in April 2014 after a thorough renovation, this ryokan features spacious guest rooms surrounded by tranquil mountains. This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed at during our trip. Set right against the mountain, surrounded by lush green trees and a river running right below us…it was spectacular to see. The onsens were lovely and we used the private onsen right beside the main building.

Situated in Hyuga, 27 km from Totoro-kō and 38 km from Saitobaru Tomb, Mimitsu Lounge CASAKURA offers a garden and air conditioning. A hot tub is available for guests. Lovely little home in Mimitsu, well stocked and super comfortable. We used the hot tub which was great. The bed was so comfortable, we had a great sleep. The place is decorated very well, it's really homely but also modern.

OceansideRanch Miyazaki offers a rooftop pool and a sauna, as well as accommodation with a kitchenette in Miyazaki, 300 metres from Cape Iruka. A hot tub is available for guests. Incredible stay near the ocean outside of Miyazaki. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna before bed and had some lovely pizza for dinner. Woke up early to enjoy the sunrise. Staff were great, very nice and helpful

Located in Miyazaki, 3.2 km from Aoshima Shrine and 4.2 km from Horikiri Pass, SHIRAHAMA BEACH GARDEN offers a garden and air conditioning. The beach cottage is bright, charming and comfortable. Right on the beach and has a spacious porch for sitting. We enjoyed grilling one night with meat a local service delivered. A pleasant stay- I’d recommend.
