Everything was wonderful. The staff were very helpful, even though some didn't speak English, they still tried their best to assist. The lobby was spacious and beautiful. The rooms were clean and well-equipped.The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the best part was the outdoor onsen. They have a large onsen that you absolutely shouldn't miss if you stay here.The hotel has parking in front of the building, but there aren't many spaces, so you should inform the hotel in advance that you will be parking a car.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The property was very cosy, it was a lovely experience to stay in an original ryokan, and have a quiet time in the onsen. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, and the location was just a short walk from the train station.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. We LOVED the onsen! The room and amenities were amazing. Highly recommend the breakfast which was great before going to see the snow monkeys.

The hospitality of the staff; the room cleanliness, space and location for the Snow Monkey Park. The evening meal and breakfasts were top class and real events. This has been one of the best parts of our tour of Japan.

Objekt 志賀高原 白い温泉 渓谷の湯 smješten je u gradu 'Yamanouchi', na 14 km od znamenitosti Rezervat Jigokudani Monkey Park, te nudi izravan pristup skijaškoj stazi i pogled na planinu. The room was very tastefully designed with authentic Ryokan styles but had modern comforts. The sitting area had a full height window looking out into the snow covered trees and stream and was like looking at a beautiful painting. At night we left the window open a small amount just to hear the running water of the stream which was amazing. The onsen in the room was just a large bath tub but fed by the Sulphur onsen water and had a large window that could be opened (although at the time ours was iced up so unable to open). The public onsen was very beautiful with a outside onsen looking over the creek running down the back of the property and nothing but snow covered trees. Beds were very comfortable with nice thick pillows. Breakfast and dinners were served in a common dining hall but each table had its own fully separated and private booths. And the food was amazing every time, we never left anything on our dishes. Very close to several ski lifts and gondolas and had a very nice dry room.

Staying here was a truly relaxing experience. The private onsen was a highlight, complemented by the beautiful space and friendly service. The living room and patio offered stunning views, creating the perfect setting to unwind. The location was also ideal, being close to the base of Monkey Park and the bus stop. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Objekt Hotel Higashidate nalazi se u gradu 'Yamanouchi', u regiji Nagano, na 19 km od znamenitosti Rezervat Jigokudani Monkey Park i 28 km od znamenitosti Skijalište Ryuoo, a sadrži izravan pristup... Such an amazing location in ShigaKogan! We had a top floor onsen room that was spacious, comfortable, modern with the luxuries included (massage chair, private onsen, and private dining with a 10+ course dinner every night - some of the BEST Japanese food I have eaten). While the staff had limited English they were beyond accommodating and were happy to for us to use translation apps and appreciative of our poor Japanese language skills. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful in arranging our luggage transport and assisting with our departure. Some of the floors of the hotel are a touch dated...but it added to the charm of our stay and overall experience. We will definitely be back :)
