Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. The room included a sauna and a private onsen on the balcony. Right after seeing the room and the facilities we decided to extend our stay for another night to enjoy the place and the onsen. We had a private dinner with good food selection (the staff also introduced us to every Japanese dish that we were served and made suggestions for the next day's dinner). The owner of the hotel was also very nice and joined us for dinner.

I Yamanouchi, 4,3 kilometer fra Jigokudani apepark, ligger 塵表閣本店, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. Owner and staff were very kind. The dog is super cute. Food was balanced and not too heavy. Room was spacious. Onsen was nice, including the private onsen. Service was 10000% and I really enjoyed my stay. Convenient to access snow monkey park or go further to shiga kogen

志賀高原 白い温泉 渓谷の湯 ligger i Yamanouchi, med Jigokudani apepark bare 14 kilometer unna. Amazing location, food is exceptional, staff very friendly and helpful , I would not even think twice to return back as soon as possible . Next time though a little later in December as our skiing was a little complicated by the fact that the resort wasn’t fully open yet when we arrived

The level of service excellence, the amenities and the attention to detail reaches heights unmatched by any other place we have seen or stayed at.

Hotel Higashidate ligger i Yamanouchi, med Jigokudani apepark bare 19 kilometer unna. Overnattingsstedet har skiløyper rett utenfor døren, røykfrie rom, gratis WiFi og en spa- og velværeavdeling. Such an amazing location in ShigaKogan! We had a top floor onsen room that was spacious, comfortable, modern with the luxuries included (massage chair, private onsen, and private dining with a 10+ course dinner every night - some of the BEST Japanese food I have eaten). While the staff had limited English they were beyond accommodating and were happy to for us to use translation apps and appreciative of our poor Japanese language skills. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful in arranging our luggage transport and assisting with our departure. Some of the floors of the hotel are a touch dated...but it added to the charm of our stay and overall experience. We will definitely be back :)
