Offering quiet street views, COZY Inn Free Shuttle service is an accommodation set in Nikko, 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Hiro-san was an excellent host! He was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and gave us great local advice. Marie-san, his assistant, was also a treat! The room he offered us was clean and comfortable, his house is very charming. There is access to snacks, coffee, and cooking facilities. He is also located right off a historic walkway in a quiet neighborhood. We would love to stay again, thank you for hosting us, Hiro-san!

Located in Nikko, 800 metres from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko Nishimachi Club provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Great rooms, perfect location and great onsen! The total package in Nikko!

The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko features restaurants, fitness centre, a lobby lounge bar and shared lounge in Nikko situated by Lake Chuzenji and overlooking Mount Nantai. We were expecting a fine hotel experience for our trip to Nikko but experienced so much more at the Ritz Carlton. Elevated, serene, beautiful facilities and accommodations along with one superlative food experience, made for one of our favorite stays anywhere, ever. Both of our rooms were wonderful, but the suite was just wonderful. All of the food was very good during our stay, but our omakase experience - our favorite sushi ever and one of our favorite meals ever. (For what it's worth, I have never used 'ever' so often in a review) Consistently friendly, helpful staff as well. This is a unique and special place and I fully expect that we'll retreat here again on future trips to Tokyo.

Featuring garden views, Morino Garden Mashiko provides accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge, around 46 km from Mito Station. Morino Garden is a hidden gem. We stayed in one of the tatami rooms and enjoyed the comfort. The room has a sink, fridge, and microwave, and the shared toilet is barely a step away. (Shower is downstairs, still quite convenient.) But the real charm of Morino Garden is the host. Yuriko went above and beyond for us, offering rides, luggage storage, and even a meal we hadn’t booked. We felt as if we’d been welcomed into a home—as, indeed, we had.

Established in 1666, Honke Bankyu is housed in a registered historical building. The Japanese rooms feature traditional decor, futon bedding and a flat-screen TV. Literally everything. The hotel is an amazing 300+ year old guest house and scenery from the rooms is amazing. This is a must go Onsen Hotel!

A recently renovated apartment situated in Nikko, Nikko Retreat features a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 700 metres from Nikko Station. The best part is climbing net and loft upstairs - my kids very super excited and spent their all free time. Spacious clean and warm rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, with all necessary appliances in the kitchen. The house is suitable for short and long stay any season, as there are heaters and air-conditioning system.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Kokage Villa Nikko-KVN is set in Nikko. This villa features a private pool, a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. This villa made our stay to be something special. I cannot recommend this place more. Everything is modern and all appliances are there and top quality. We loved Nikko but this villa made our stay more special. It is quiet, clean, very spacious, has a great tv and bed + umbrellas and all the small details you need to accommodate bad weather. We loved our stay.

Situated in Nikko, 48 km from Tobu Nikko Station, おやど湯の季 offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This 3-star hotel features a spa experience, with its sauna and hot tub. Grate experience in Nikko if you are looking for a bit of a remote area. Beautiful and quiet environment. The Onsen in the hotel is amazing, especially the private one! The food was exceptional, such an experience really recommended to book the dinner plan. Very not touristic in the best way, hart to find in Japan.
