They are willing to help with everything. They know some English so nothing is a problem for foreigners. The foot bath on the roof is free and amazing with epic Mt. Fuji view. Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private... The hotel is exceptional, we booked the traditional Japanese room, with tatami floor and breakfast and dinner. The onsen/hot baths were very pleasant (we only used the ones on the top floor), and even booked the private onsen at a fee, so we can enjoy privately as well. The dinner was amazing, and definitely a highlight of our trip.

The rooms were very clean and the owner goes out of the way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A very relaxing place. They provide microwave & toaster which most of the hotels do not provide. Loved the automated toilet bowl!

It had gorgeous views of Fuji. The house was very large and easily fit our family of five. It had plenty of amenities (including a spa bath which we appreciated after many days of walking around). Would highly recommend.
