Located in Jaffna, 1.1 km from Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, The Thinnai Hotel - Jaffna provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. It is on a busy street with restaurants and shops but when you’re in your room, you don’t hear that street noise. The room was large, super clean (and cleaned every single day!). I appreciated the kitchenette and there was even a jacuzzi in the garden patio area (though I didn’t use it this stay). Bathroom was decent size with good water pressure and hot water. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They organised an early breakfast packet for me since I went to Delft Island and had to leave around 6:45 (before breakfast). On one day there was a large breakfast buffet spread and following days à la carte breakfast menu. Food was delicious! I also ate dinner in the restaurant and their buffet was fantastic for options. Also WiFi was strong and worked throughout the entire area. Pool area was nice to relax.

The villa itself is beautiful, with a peaceful and green setting just a few minutes by tuk-tuk from the city center, a perfect balance of quiet and convenience. The facilities are excellent, but what really stands out is the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. They even offered free rides to local sights, which was a wonderful bonus. Breakfast was also delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaffna!
