Very comfortable, clean, safe and the staff was absolutely lovely. It is a bit pricey when it comes to having breakfast there but it’s worth it! Just be prepared. HOTEL EL CONQUISTADOR MONARCA. Is a 3-star property located in Zitácuaro. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Our room was on the second floor, spacious and full of light, very clean. The shower was working perfectly. Staff was kind and helpful.

Located in Pátzcuaro, Porton del Cielo offers 5-star accommodation with a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. This was a beautiful place with an amazing view of Janitzio. The staff was very helpful and nice.

Facing the beachfront, Hotel Brisas de Verano offers 4-star accommodation in San Juan de Alima and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. This is an out of the way, little family run hotel. We liked it for just that reason. It's right on the beach and there are opportunities to see Tortugas at night and possibly hatched babies working their way to the ocean. There is a small restaurant with a sufficient menu and plenty of beer. Unfortunately, it closes at 5:00 so be sure to plan ahead. The room was a very basic but clean Mexican style room. We had plenty of hot water which was nice.
