The surroundings were calm and quiet, which made it a great place to rest and work. A standout feature was the fast, stable internet connection—something that’s surprisingly rare in Mexico. What an incredible resort. The villas are elegant and very comfortable. The restaurant is top notch and not expensive. The staff is highly responsive, and security was always on the ball at the entrance. Amazing place, we couldn't have imagined a better place to have our honeymoon, and I've stayed in tons of resorts, hotels, and houses all around the world. I'd pick this one again without a second thought. Other notes: the cenote next door is prettier than most, and I got a free fish cleaning treatment in the water just by holding still and letting the little ones come and check me out. The pool is nice and large as well, we spent a lot of time in the pool (another review mentions leaves in the pool, and it is true, as it is partially shaded by many trees, and there is just no way that leaves won't get in there, its natural, live with it). The nearby city, Valladolid is colonial, and has a very pretty city center including the church, and the convenant, and a long street between the two. It's worth spending a day walking the city and eating at some of the more local restaurants as well.
