The location was perfect. Almost on the beach. Well designed and cosy, home away from home. My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.

The Central Motel & Lodge asub Ohakune kesklinnast vaid 4-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Kohapeal on välimullivann. 10/10 for absolutely everything! First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.

Large, spacious property with nice views in multiple directions. Close to Virginia Lake park. Nice stopover between Taupo and Wellington. We enjoyed eating at the Rutland Arms Hotel in the old part of town.

Rõduga majutusasutus The Bavarian Chalet asub Manawatu piirkonnas Ohakunes. Külalised saavad kasutada mullivanni. We stayed here for 3 nights on a girls' weekend and absolutely loved it. The chalet was gorgeous—super cozy and well set up—and the location was amazing, and the owner was lovely and made everything really easy. Already keen to book our next trip!
