Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Wanaka is an amazing place to stay. I get the impression that most travellers use Wanaka as a stop off to the Glaciers like we did. If i was planning my trip again I would spend at least a few nights in Archway motel, Wanaka. The hosts Jacqui and Mark can not do enough for you, they really are the best hosts you could wish for. Mark went out of his way to help my wife and I reschedule our trip to the Glaciers following the road closure at Hass. I can not think him enough for his reassuring assistance. Add to the above, the chalets are extremely high-end, comfort, quality, home from home. My wife and I would stay here again and for longer if we get back to NZ. We were greeted upon arrival and immediately felt welcomed and at home. The room was perfect and even had biscuits and lollies. The bed felt like a marshmallow and we even had our own balcony which overlooked the water. The bathroom was super clean and the shower was great. The house is centrally located and is super close to Larnachs Castle which we absolutely loved. We couldn’t recommend staying with Paul and Paulo more. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Dunedin!
