We could not have hoped for a better place to stay, or for better hosts. Juliet and David have created a beautiful place to stay in a quiet, stunning setting, forming a perfect base from which to explore Queenstown, Glenorchy and all of the stunning area around. The room was perfect, the breakfasts were outstanding ( they do undersell them by calling them Continental breakfasts......they're so much more than that), and the banana bread is more legendary than Lord Of The Rings 😊. To top it all, Juliet and David are perfect hosts; friendly, generous, informative...everything you would want from hosts, and so much more. If we are lucky enough to return to New Zealand again (sooner than the 20 year gap between our first and last visit), this will be the first place we book. We absolutely loved everything about the high tree chalets, the hosts have very clearly thought about every little aspect and detail and tailored this to be not just a stay but an experience. My partner and I visited for our honeymoon and were wanting to relax, unwind, slow down, and spend intentional time together and the high tree chalets were exactly what we were needing. We were able to slow down and really take in the beauty of everything! We loved the attention to detail, the location and the hosts Sonya, Mark and Casey truely went above and beyond!

Loved our stay with Benger Garden Chalets. The Chalets were clean and we had everything we needed. The breakfast in the morning was a real bonus! Staff were very lovely and accomodating!
