A person (not the owner) met us to give us the keys and showed us the parking space. There are 3 parking spaces big enough for a small car, two of which are under a roof. Several times during out stay, 4 or 5 cars were parked there, using up the space on the driveway. Thankfully we did not need to get our motorcycles in or out! The owner came a few days later to collect payment and we saw her several more times during our stay. It seems like she visits her building frequently! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and stuff to cook. The area is nice, quiet and safe. There is a small kiosk in the building next door, where you can get water and small stuff, but there are various smaller tiendas all around the area where you can buy food. A taxi from the main market in town cost between 5-8 soles and a mini cab cost even less. It is easy to walk to the market, but as it is uphill coming back we took taxis almost every time.

Die Familie ist auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Wir können diese Unterkunft von Herzen empfehlen! Ein ganz besonderer Ort mit wundervollen Menschen! Nuestra estancia fue simplemente maravillosa. Los anfitriones fueron increíblemente amables y atentos. Se ocuparon de todo con mucho cariño y dedicación. La casa es preciosa y está decorada con mucho amor y atención a los detalles, todo está muy limpio. La vista al lago es impresionante, especialmente por la tarde, cuando se pueden ver las luces de la ciudad y el cielo estrellado. La ubicación es muy tranquila, ideal para desconectarse y disfrutar de la naturaleza. El desayuno y la cena fueron deliciosos, preparados con ingredientes frescos y presentados con mucho cuidado. La familia siempre estuvo dispuesta a cumplir con todos nuestros deseos. ¡Recomendamos este alojamiento de todo corazón! Es un lugar muy especial con personas maravillosas.

He also made an effort to show us around other family Floating Island homes. Amazing gentleman

Located right in front of Titicaca Lake, Titilaka boasts chic decor, an on-site restaurant with regional and international cuisine and rooms with free Wi-Fi. The most mind blowing view you can imagine!! It’s unreal and so peaceful! I was initially skeptical since booking.com had very few reviews but this was beyond every expectation ever. The food is fabulous. Very well accommodating for vegetarians too. The staff is EXTREMELY helpful. The fact that it’s all inclusive for food, beverages and excursions makes it that much better. We were there for 2 nights. I wish we had 3 nights since the first day we only reached at dinner time. But I can’t imagine there’s much to do beyond those few days there. Just admire the view and unwind. 10/10 would recommend and revisit!!

The location was so close to the plaza. Had heaters in the room. The shower was so hot and strong pressure— truly enjoyed after two weeks of lukewarm water and rain showers in Lima. The staff was very helpful. The included breakfast in the morning was basic buffet, but tasty. They offered scrambled eggs and a salchipapa, they would also make a fried egg if you liked.
