Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. They leveled up the standard for how a hotel should be, super friendly staff and supper clean. One of the best getaway places in Europe.

The Quinta is beautiful. The staff were exceptional and friendly.The breakfast was plentyful, and a good variety of items to choose from to eat. Anna Moseto is the queen of the kitchen. The rooms are round a lovely garden which is shared with the owners. It's a shady haven, with a pool, and swings and hammocks to chill in. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. We visited a river beach nearby which was really fun and the Casa da Ponte owners lent us paddle boards. We also enjoyed the pool table and the turtle pond.The owners are really friendly and welcoming but also give you plenty of space. All in all we loved it and hope to be back!

Two weary cyclists arrived for one night. We were delighted! Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! I have cycled 94,000+km around the world and have stayed at well over 1000+ hotels around the world on every continent except Antarctica—Solar Dos Frades is one of the best! Obrigado Ines!
