A recently renovated guest house in Selmes and within 35 km of Alqueva Dam, B&B Casa da Ponte Selmes Vidigueira features pool with a view, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. The man who met us was very respectful and they gave us free breakfast on the first day. Their treatment was very nice and I would like to thank them for their good reception and good treatment.

We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, A Janela Do Castelo is situated in Monsaraz. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The road getting to the property was a little tight but the location was unbelievable. It is right next to the castle with wonderful views out every window. The yard was also very inviting and private. It was December, so we didn't get to enjoy the yard (and we only stayed one night). There is even a laundry room accessible via the yard. The beds were comfortable including the day-bed adjacent to the living room. It was a lovely place with a lot of character and charm.
