The city of Marvao is heaven on earth (close to heaven) with 360 panorama view over the Serra de Sao Mamede. The hotel in the historic building, was located on the edge of the village and the cliff so the view from the balcony was amazing!

Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. The staff were amazing, the breakfast was fantastic! The spa, pool etc. were so clean and we appreciated how quiet it was while taking a hot jacuzzi.

The Quinta is beautiful. The staff were exceptional and friendly.The breakfast was plentyful, and a good variety of items to choose from to eat. Anna Moseto is the queen of the kitchen. Thank you for everything.

Wow, this place is such a nice little oasis in Alentejo. Nice garden, pool, and hot tub. You can tell the owners really put a lot of care into fixing the place up. All of the little details are well thought out. The owners Dennis and Anouk are very nice and friendly. The beds are comfortable and the shower has lots of hot water with good pressure. Highly recommend paying for the breakfast. Can't wait to come back

Two weary cyclists arrived for one night. We were delighted! Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! I have cycled 94,000+km around the world and have stayed at well over 1000+ hotels around the world on every continent except Antarctica—Solar Dos Frades is one of the best! Obrigado Ines! We’ve been travelling around Portugal for 2 1/2 weeks and so enjoyed this beautiful, relaxing vacation home. The property is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable with the group kitchen facilities. Ken and Jerome are perfect hosts.

Wonderful house right by the castle walls! The house is spacious, well decorated in a rustic style, and very comfortable. We had an amazing two night stay and got to really enjoy Monsaraz. The hosts are also super friendly and helpful! 100% recommend for anyone staying in the area
