They make every effort to be eco-friendly and sustainable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds and pillows very comfortable but the hidden gems are Juan Diego and Juan Camilo. Juan Diego takes care of the reception duties, arranging tours, all the cooking and many other duties. Juan Camilo is his right hand man and amazing server. We ate all our meals here during our 3-day stay. The dinner menu changes every day, with 2 choices for each of appetizers, mains and desserts. The food was delicious and expertly prepared and served. We felt like we were in a 5-star restaurant. They took care of our every need. It seemed like there was always something delicious available to us, almost all day long. We went on wonderful hikes and walks in the area, rather than drive.

Fabulous property which was a perfect place to explore the Douro valley. The host Helena and her daughter were extremely welcoming. Breakfast each morning was a feast and served by Helena. The property is spacious, very clean and had all the facilities required for the perfect stay including a hot tub, pool table and honesty bar.
