It felt like a home, not an accommodation. The bed was heaven and felt like sleeping on clouds, the kitchen is well equipped and Paula, the host, treats the guests to an extra dose of hospitality. I was even lucky enough to meet their sweet dog, Luna, who has the gentlest soul. The location is great, since nothing is really far on Terceira, supermarkets are close by and the view from the garden is beautiful. Sadly I did not have the time to visit the farm and meet the calves because my stay was too short, but I would have loved to. I had the most wonderful time.

We stayed at Hugo's place for 5 days in May. It's located in a small village facing the ocean. It was a great base to visiting the whole island (most sights are 20 minutes away by car and the road to Angra is absolutely gorgeous). The house is amazing, fully equipped and very comfortable. There is a balcony facing the ocean, an outdoor dining space with a BBQ and there's, of course, the pool, jacuzzi and even a sauna (they are shared with the guests of Hugo's other house)! Hugo was a very welcoming and helping host, he left us a breakfast basket and he has a collection of wine bottles that are sold at very convenient prices. A perfect stay, I would love to come back!

The host is a singularly informative and warm person. Extremely hardworking and it shows in the property. The property itself is a wonderful place. Breakfast was great. And speaking as an American, the big pot of coffee was a nice surprise. One particular highlight was when the host cooked alcatra for us.
