Located 32 km from Iron Gate I, Serenity offers a private beach area, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. If quiet and relaxing for a few days are your targets, then this is a very desirable spot. A clean, heated pool in the sun, surrounded by beach chairs next to barbecue and coffee station, are bonus features. Good restaurant close by at less than 10 mins slow walking, for nice dinners at the edge of Danube river and the rock carved face of Decebalus Rex, within 25 mins of walk.

NOAH river house features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 20 km of Iron Gate I and 21 km of Rock Sculpture of Decebalus. It is the most special location I have been to - the hotel is located directly on the river coast and all the rooms are looking at the Danube. It was magical to see the night Danube, the morning Danube, as well as a storm, directly from the room. The place is full of interesting spots to visit - monasteries, museums, hiking routes in the nature reserves as well as boat trips in the river. Or you can enjoy peaceful time sunbathing in the garden. You can also cross the border with Serbia and visit some of the spots on the other side of the river. The host was very helpful, upgraded our room, organized our boat trip (we were taken directly from the hotel - on the boat) and provided a nice list of restaurants. I definitely would like to go again and continue exploring the area.

Situated in Eşelniţa, 25 km from Iron Gate I, Donaris features accommodation with an infinity pool, free private parking, free bikes and a garden. We only stayed here for one night, but we were made to feel very welcome. The owners couldn’t do enough for us. It was very relaxing and we were allowed to stay a few more hours at the swimming pool after check out.

Located within 36 km of Iron Gate I and 2.4 km of Rock Sculpture of Decebalus, Pensiunea PHILIA provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Dubova. + Friendly & helpful staff + super kind host + spacious rooms with tasteful design + fully equipped kitchen + you don’t have time to get bored with all these nice included facilities (sauna, pool, saline room, etc.)

Boasting a private beach area and views of lake, Orsova Gratca 164 is a recently renovated holiday home set in Orşova, 21 km from Iron Gate I. It was very clean and the view of the toom was amazing there is also nice sunbeds by the river.

Providing mountain views, CasAndi in Cireşu provides accommodation, a private beach area, free bikes, a garden, a bar and barbecue facilities. The owner was exceptionally nice. The place was clean, well equipped and really cozy with a personal touch. Highly recommended!
