The cabins have a common "kitchen" and living space outside, grill, fire pit, etc. It was a great starting location for our next trip to the mountain tops. There is a great grill nearby, where the master made us not only a great dinner, but also breakfast the next day. Thank you for the nice accommodation.

Located in Arefu, next to the Transfăgărăşan mountain road, Pensiunea Bella Vista offers rooms with TVs. The on-site restaurant offers Romanian specialties and international dishes. Nice, clean and comfortable restaurant-hotel located conveniently on the Transfagaras highway, close to the Poenari citadel (sadly it is closed in the year 2023). Although the building is on the main road, it is not noisy in the room, because it is in a small town and the windows are on the side of the building. Good breakfast (chosen from the menu and additionally paid). Nice English-speaking people. Regular rooms have a balcony from which you could see some mountains in the distance. However, the name "bella vista" is far from reality;-)

What a true gem I discovered on the go! The room was practical, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you could need. The highlight, however, was the location – these charming little cottages are absolutely perfect for relaxation. I really enjoyed my morning coffee in the peaceful setting, accompanied by the sweet chirping of birds. The host was exceptionally kind, helpful, and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a wonderful stay. Their dedication and care truly make all the difference in creating a memorable and comfortable experience.

We spent four nights at Pamja Guest House, two couples, and had an amazing experience. The location is beautiful – very peaceful, with a stunning view and a small stream right next to the yard where you can enjoy your morning coffee. The house is tastefully decorated, the rooms are perfectly arranged, and everything was spotless. It has all the facilities you could wish for: a barbecue, a kettle for cooking outdoors, an indoor fireplace, and even a hot tub (which we didn’t use this time). The hosts were wonderful and always available for anything we needed. A place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and a genuine experience in the middle of nature.
