Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. We had no idea what to expect from a "pirate hotel", but it was above any expectation! Besides that, it was a wonderfull room, with big balcony, big big bed and all very clean and "piratty". We stayed in one of the small houses/studio by the sea with own jacuzzi. It was magnificent!! We loved our own sauna space that during summer is turned into a relaxing room with an outstanding sea view! Everything was amazing but that which touched us the most was the professionalism of the staff and of the people in charge. Specific needs/situations were met and resolved with the highest professionalism as I had yet not met before ( and I do travel a lot both in Sweden and abroad). Thank you so much to all staff and to this amazing place that made my daughter’s 21th birthday an unforgettable one ♥️ And as a touch of pure grace, we had the amazing experience to see and touch the bioluminescence of “ Mareld” that were present by the shore so close to our studio! Better we could not ask for! Will definitely come back…and not only once!

Set in Svenshögen, in a historic building, 34 km from Bohusläns Museum, Hällesdalens Gård - semesterhus i Bohuslän is a recently renovated holiday home with a private beach area and barbecue... An incredible place to stay in a beautiful location! House was spacious and luxurious. Loved the wood fired hot tub and the kitchen was incredible well equipped. Hosts were very friendly and answered our queries promptly. House was also easy to access by bus, with just a short walk from the bus stop. We also loved exploring the local area, including checking out the floating wood fired sauna (didn't use as the sea was a little rough) and the wind shelter. Would 100% stay at Hallesdalen again in future!

We liked the option of cleaning the place ourselves and keeping the cost down - it was no problem there was good instructions!
