Radisson Blu Park Royal Palace Hotel Vienna is right next to Vienna’s Technical Museum and just a 5-minute walk from Schönbrunn Palace. The staff are very friendly and they really this place very special
The gardens are beautiful, the palace in itself is underwhelming and I would even go as far as saying disappointing and overpriced for sure. Not a must see inside, but definitely go and admire the park, the hill and the surroundings of the Palace.
Palace is impressive, and guided tour is something that I recommend for sure. They have an Orange, Tropic and many gardens as well, and Zoo is also interesting. For kids there is a maze, so many things that should be visited as the part of the attractions..
Be careful! Palace and park are open till 9pm, then they closed gates and there are no signs, no information, no indications where to go, what to do! We and a lot of people were looking for exit like 1h going from one closed gate to another, in darkness, and finally find a little door at one of the corners, far away of the palace.
Having seen this palace in a classical concert video it was always a dream to visit it one day. It certainly didn’t disappoint, the whole experience was well presented from ticket purchase to a timed entry to view the various palace rooms. I would highly recommend a visit to the palace finishing with a leisurely stroll around the wonderful vast grounds and gardens, not forgetting the Vienna zoo which is located in the grounds.
The Palace and it’s grounds are immense! Make sure you spend the whole day there, we wished we had more time. You can buy tickets just for the bits that interest you. We bought tickets for the Zoo, labyrinth, playground and children’s museum. If you buy them online you can avoid the queues. The children’s museum is really interactive. My kids, aged 8 and 5, loved dressing up and learning about the imperial children.
Good place to spend a day, for young and old. Lots of different activities to enjoy, aside from the tour of the palace itself. There was a puppet show, a demonstration of making apple strudel, a zoo, a maze, beautiful grounds --- and a train to take you all around the grounds which they said was larger than the Principality of Monaco.
