I love shopping. I did have the feeling all people must be in the city having lunch. It was really great until we came back to our park house. It nearly gave. E a heart attack. $25. Next time I take the bus
Queens Plaza food court good place to eat and rest. Good quality shops. Used to work DJs there. some nice restaurants in outdoors in walkway in mall. Nice movie theatre in winter garden area - nice feel. Good artists and street performers. For a good hotel, go to Royal on the Park - it is opposite botanic gardens. And has ferry nearby for South bank or to New Farm or Eagle Pier. For good cheap food I recommend subway.
Myer centre shopping is a great place to start with. Try the food court. Varity of food and money worth. Must check out the food court below level. There is a really nice Korean Chicken shop, finger licking.
fantastic shopping...lovely cafes and very relaxed...great holiday atmosphere with shopping...shopping for the most sophisticated shopper or people like me just needing to grab a few things from Coles...
If you're completely fresh to the area, you might get a little swamped. There isn't exactly a mall map like there would be in North American areas, and Google maps has little to no helpful information on shops available.
Multi culture at its best. Sit on seat and watch everyone walk by. So many different people. Locals happy and helpful to give directions... except the ones in business suits. Lol. Relax in air conditioning shopping. Good smoothies at top end of mall.
Check in was smooth, we arrived early, however our room was ready so we were provided a key and our bags bought up to us. We stayed in Room 1708, the decor in the room is exquisite, stunning, so beautifully created, like walking into an artwork. This Room has a wonderful view across the River and SouthBank and was high enough to see the mountains along the horizon. So close to the bridge to SouthBank and to the Queen Street Mall. The bed was so comfortable, everything was just top notch, we can't wait to stay here again!!
The location of the hotel was excellent, the room was small but functional, and the bed was comfortable. Most of all, the air conditioner was EXCELLENT and extremely effective. The price was extremely reasonable for the location (6 minute walk to Queen Street Mall!) and there was always a parking space available. The staff were very kind and courteous, and kindly offered me a safety pin for my dress when I asked. The balcony we had overlooked the back of the city and we found it breezy and a relatively quiet place to read a book.
Great Location. Central to everything. 100 m to Queen Street Mall, 400 m to Casino, two blocks to Eagle St and great food. The room was as we asked for, 1 bedroom apartment. Lounge great space, very useable kitchen with washer dryer, dishwasher and good facilities. Bedroom was roomy enough. The greatest asset the property has is their staff. Extremely courteous, and friendly. Always smiling and a credit to the management.
Location was fantastic, close to transport, 10 minute walk to Queen street Mall, 25 minute walk to the Riverbank precinct, great eateries nearby and a nice peaceful location. Room was quite large with separate bathroom facilities, balcony overlooking gardens and into some of the high rise buildings. Aircon was set to a comfortable 22 degrees and came on automatically at a certain time. Overall a fantastic stay at a great Hotel
Location was great - 5 min walk to the Queen Street Mall shopping area and about 10 min walk to the Brisbane River and Botanic Gardens. Apartment is spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. Staff was friendly and helpful. I like that we had the option to receive a food voucher in return for not having the apartment serviced. Supplies were plentiful on arrival and was replenished whenever requested.
Location beside the Kurilpa footbridge meant you also had great access to the South side museums, galleries and restaurants. Located close to the Queen Street Mall. The one bedroom apartment was well equipped and spacious. Parking was good with easy access.
The location is great. It is only 600m from Queen Street Mall and 2 mins walk to the train station for the Airport - Gold Coast line. The apartment also has a gym and decent size pool.
