It's a small place and I thought it was a bit rich to pay $20 but the people who work there have a heart for the animals, they stand there, cleaning the glass so people can have a good look, they tell you all about the fish (if you want). Their enthusiasm was worth the money. There's a hands on water tank where you can touch what ever there is and also touch the big turtle who loves the attention of visitors. I actually really enjoyed it there.
Older and smaller than anticipated but fabulous!! Wonderful staff!! Teenage son swam with turtles and sharks. Younger son got to hold and interact with other sea creatures. Time your day to watch 11am feed and the 2:30pm feed to get bang for your buck. Both are different experiences. Time in between can be spent enjoying the other displays and the onsite cafe, fantastic view and playground outside.
Beautiful surroundings....love the location.. Reefworld is fascinating...with lots of display and information....I really enjoyed the experience and chatting with the owners...Its a place you must visit, and the restaurant is fantastic too..
Small, but excellent aquarium. It is run by a father and son team, who clearly love and understand what they do, which gives it a personal touch. They walk you in to the aquarium from the reception area and describe the first tank, which included several things we wouldn't have seen if they hadn't pointed them out ! You need to take your time to make the most of your visit and look for things ! The turtle feeding activity was good fun too ! They have created an environment as natural as possible within a small aquarium. We enjoyed our visit more than we thought we would and spent longer here than expected. Good Job guys !
May seem pricey for the size of the place, but we got there in the morning and hand fed the turtles. Spent 40 mins there, then they give you a stamp so you can go back in the afternoon and see the feedings again for frre. We hand fed the big fish in the aquarium tank, then the turtles the big cod and sharks,Got to stroke a shark pat the turtles and even stroked a large cod. Had a great time
I would love to see these guys expand so many people come to visit and it could be turned into something really fantastic. The animal interaction was great but if the facility could look at expansion to teach people about the beautiful sea life we have in this beautiful country we live in.
